I've always wanted to learn rationalizing denominator with "three radicals", it seems like there's a lot that can be done with it that I can't do otherwise. I remember having problems with long division, factoring expressions and angle complements. Algebrator is a really great piece of math software. I have used it through several math classes - Remedial Algebra, College Algebra and Pre Algebra. I would simply type in the problem from a workbook and by clicking on Solve, step by step solution would appear. The program is highly recommended.
