I am currently not able to finish the same because I am not familiar with the fundamentals of perfect square trinomial, triangle similarity and solving a triangle. Would it be possible for anyone to aid me with this?

I used to face same problems that you do when I was there. I always used to be confused in Algebra 2, College Algebra and College Algebra. I was worst in example of math poems till I came to know of Algebrator. It is really effectiveand I would truly recommend it. The best feature of the software is that it will also help you learn algebra and not just narrate your answers. I found Algebrator effective and am sure it will help you too. Let me know.

Been using it for some time now and it keeps on amazing me. Every assignment that I type in, Algebrator gives me a perfect answer to it. I have never enjoyed learning math homework on graphing equations, slope and lcf so much before. I would recommend it for sure.

There are some demos available to see if it is really what you are looking for and if you find it useful, you can get a licensed version for a nominal amount.

I have used it through several math classes – Basic Math, Intermediate algebra and Intermediate algebra. Just typing in the algebra problem and clicking on Solve, Algebrator generates step-by-step solution to the problem, and my algebra homework would be ready. I really recommend the program.
